1. My Current Setup

My current YouTube setup. All together it is close to ~$30,000.

Sony Alpha 7S III

The best video camera I've ever used. 4K 120p, minimal overheating, 10-bit, eye autofocus, touch screen, and title screen make it amazing. I have 3 of these. I may upgrade to FX3 ii when it comes out.
Check it out

Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM

The most versatile lens I use, the one that is usually on my camera. Although I may be upgrading to the 24-70 GM sometime soon.
Check it out

Sony FE 50mm f/1.4 GM Prime

Look at that BOKEH, my normal lense for talking-head shots.
https://amzn.to/3GjHgcY

Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 G OSS Prime

For macro, b-roll, and even more bokeh shots I'll use this crispy lens.
Check it out

Sachtler Ace M Tripod System

My favorite one I've used so far. I travel with the Peak Design Travel Tripod. I also use various Manfrotto and Sirui that I've collected over the years.
Check it out

Camera Rig

I followed the setup in the video linked here pretty much exactly. DSLR video shooter is fantastic. A "rig" allows for more connections, better monitoring, handling, and more.
Check it out

Schoeps CMC641

Never thought I'd spend this much on a microphone but you can't beat the audio and sound isolation. The AT403B and AT2020 are great cheap alternatives.
Check it out

DJI Mic 2

The easiest plug-and-play microphone go setup I've ever used. 32-bit when you use the receiver and transmitter together.
Check it out

Sennheiser Professional ME 2

A perfect combination with the DJI Mic 2. A quality lavalier microphone. At this price point it can't be beat.
Check it out

Zoom F3

32-bit audio again is a life saver here. Just make sure it stays plugged in or has full batteries.
Check it out

Sound Blanket Setup x2

Want the biggest upgrade to your audio for cheapest? Build two of these and surround your microphone and you with it. Much cleaner and more intimate audio. Follow the link to see how to make it.
Check it out

prograde memory card

A very very very fast memory card. I have about 6 of these.
Check it out

Aputure 300d II

The best and brightest light I've ever used. I use two 120ds for fill and background lights but like to have as much natural light during filming as possible.
Check it out

Aputure Light Dome III

A high quality softbox (that diffuses the light and makes it appear softer on my face) for a high quality light.
Check it out

Aputure MC RGBWW

Love these little fun lights. You'll notice a blue/red tone on th edges of my videos from this light.
Check it out

Neewer Teleprompter X17 II

1 out of every 5 videos I use a teleprompter. They help for more complicated or technical videos, although I still find it's difficult to look and sound natural while using a teleprompter.
Check it out

Rode VideoMic NTG

The microphone I put on top of my camera when I'm runnin' n' gunnin'. A lav will beat this and a boom mic will blow this away. But it beats iPhone or built-in camera audio.
Check it out

Ninja Shinobi

This makes filming B-roll and other shots really fun. You can add your LUTs to this to see what your footage will look like post grade while your shooting the video. When I record my videos main shots I simply plug an HDMI from my camera into my TV or a computer monitor.
Check it out

Manfrotto 1004BAC Light Stand

What I attach my lights or boom arms to.
Check it out

Boom Arm

What I attach my mic too. You'll need a sandbag to counterbalance this on any of your tripods or c-stands.
Check it out

Neewer Rolling C Stand SC340AW

The "rolling" part is huge! Makes it easy and fun to roll around an overhead shot or overhead lighting. Again, you'll probably need a sandbag here.
Check it out

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO Premium Tesla

Before I start any recording I plug these into my audio receiver (Zoom F3 usually) and it gives my ears superpowers. I notice the AC needs to be turned off, a window closed, and a door shut.
Check it out

DJI Mavic 3 Classic RC

The RC screen makes a HUGE difference. If you are getting a DJI drone get one with the screen built-in to the controller. Beautiful drone shots and a ton of fun to use.
Check it out

DJI Osmo Action 4

The best GoPro type camera I've ever used. I was dissapointed with the video quality of the Action 5 so I went back to the Action 4.
Check it out

27-inch 5K Retina display and lovely colors make this an easy choice for my main monitor.
Check it out

When I occasionally nerd out on Photography, this is the best photo editing software I've seen. Also, I edit my thumbnails here before adding text to them on Photoshop.
Check it out

Final Cut Pro

When you start editing videos as a creatore you are really deciding between Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro. There are pros and cons of both. I learned Final Cut Pro so I have stuck to it (although I have an editor edit 90% of my videos as of now).
Check it out

Topaz Photo AI

I am too lazy to take photos for my thumbnails. So I screengrab in Final Cut Pro and this makes the images usable for YT thumbnails.

Brutally painful to learn. But better than Canva for quality thumbnail design.
Check it out

Check it out

Check it out

Check it out

Kajabi

Currently the best way I have found to host multiple courses, lead magnets, a store, an email list, and a newsletter. I used to use Kit and have heard good things about Circle.
Check it out

Vellum

A fantastic book layout organizer. If you ever thought about self-publishing a book using a Mac this is a game-changer.
Check it out

Typefully

A beautifully simple way to automate and schedule my X posts.

Check it out

A simple standing desk.
Check it out

Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

Whenever I have zoom calls or record from my computer I use a Shure SM7B and cloudlifter to professionalize how my audio sounds.
Check it out

Shure SM7B

An industry standard for recording and podcasting for a reason. When I had my podcast I had 5 of these.
Check it out

Cloudlifter CL-1

Reduce noise and improve microphone signal quality especially with the Shure SM7B.
Check it out

AirPods Pro 2

These are not only gamechangers, these are life-changers. Really. I wear them on the gym, on the plane, around my house, everywhere. Very easy to lose though.
Check it out

AirPods Max

Very good sound quality. Look good. Feel good. The battery is extremely annoying.
Check it out

Circadian Optics Lumos 2.0

To free up desk space this screws onto the back of my desk and let's my monitors "float."
Check it out

My entire desk setup is here. Including Herman Miller Aeron chair, Fully desk, external drives and microphones.

Check it out

FC Model 20 Nagahara Needlepoint

A unique pen that I always use green ink with. This one competes on a daily basis with the Sailor Pro.
Check it out

Pilot Metropolitan Fine

My first fountain pen adventure. I still use it frequently when traveling or I feel like I need a sturdier nib.
Check it out

Pilot Iroshizuku Ink

I didn't think ink mattered until I used a different ink than this. Pilot makes (in my limited experience) the smoothest ink.
Check it out

Sony - 65" class BRAVIA XR A75L OLED 4K UHD

I don't know much about TVs. OLED is good. Big is good.
Check it out

Klipsch R-51M

1. 3-4 Day Trip

I’m usually able to just bring a backpack on most 3-4 day trips. A wedding trip, or a work trip requiring a suit, might be different but 90% of my 3-4 day trips are fine with just this. I do trips like this to surf, meet friends around the world, explore new places, and lower-key work meetings. It’s helpful to have most things able to be worn with most things. For example, if you are deciding on a pair of jeans versus a pair of orange leather pants, the pair of jeans would be more versatile (can be worn with nearly anything) while a pair of orange leather pants, albeit cool, are less versatile (doesn’t mix and match well with most other clothing items).
